The Clean Air Act is currently our best tool for regulating greenhouse gases that threaten our safe climate. I strongly urge you to vote no on Murkowski's "Dirty Air Act" (S.J.Res. 26) and stop any effort to gut the Clean Air Act.

The Senate is preparing to take a giant leap backward on climate change this week -- just when it should be leaping forward.

Senator Murkowski's resolution attacking the Clean Air Act may come to a vote in the next few days. Her resolution -- you could call it the "Dirty Air Act" -- was literally written by industry lobbyists. Its effect: override the EPA's ability to regulate global warming gasses, by overturning the EPA's finding that climate change, driven by greenhouse gasses, is a threat to Americans.
